Wearing earrings and makeup.
Q. Is wearing and showing earrings with hijab haram, even if the entire neck is covered? What about makeup is it also haram?
A. Wearing earrings is permissible, but it is essential to cover them while wearing the Hijab even if the neck is covered. The ears of a woman are included in the ‘area of the body’ that must be covered and hence, a woman is not allowed to reveal it to ghair Mahram (non-blood relatives).
Wearing makeup in itself is not haram, but to display it to non-blood relatives is haram.
