Watching male wrestling.
Q. If you are a muslim, is male wrestling good to watch?
A. According to the teachings of Islam (based on the hadith of the Prophet (SAS) it is not permissible for a man to look at the ‘awrah’ (concealable parts) of the body of another man. The area of the ‘awrah’ for a male is from ‘the navel to the knees’, and it is prohibited for a man to expose this area as well as to look at it of another man. ‘Wrestling matches’ of males involves looking at the ‘awrah’ of these wrestlers which is totally prohibited in Islam. If their ‘awrah’ is covered/concealed then it will be permissible to watch the wrestling.
However, if their ‘awrah’ is exposed, then it will not be permissible to look at.
