Q. What are some forms of Unnatural Sexual Intercourse?


A. Unnatural sexual intercourse refers to such intercourse which is not in accordance with the laws of Islam.

The shariah of Islam has only permitted one to have sexual intercourse with the spouse to whom he/she has been legally married in Islam. Hence, to have such relationship with one who is not a spouse is totally haram and unlawful in Islam.

Unnatural also refers to an act which is not conforming to what is expected in the ordinary course of events. In other words, it refers to something which is against the norms and the regular practice of a certain thing.

With this understanding, unnatural sexual intercourse means to have such relations with ones wife in a manner which is against the norms which have been allowed in Islam. What has been established in Islam is teachings is that a husband must have sexual intercourse with his wife through the normal passage which is known for this purpose and may ultimately bring about pro creation. Having sexual intercourse in any other passage besides this is deemed to be unnatural and totally haram in Islam.
