Reading Bahishti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments)
Question:
Asalaamualaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakaatuhu mufti sahab.
Is it right for a person to read the book Bahishti Zewar written by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanawi sahab,when there is no reference (hadith or Quraanic aayat)as to where from the masail (islaamic rulings)have been deduced.
Please clarify.

Bahishti Zewar is a very good and reliable book written by the great scholar Mufti Ashraf Ali Thanwi. It is on the Fiqh of Imam Abu Hanifa and occupies a very high position among the Ulamas of today. The book was written to present the Masaail in a very easy and comprehensive manner especially to the common Muslims.
Many other books have been written by the great Mufti in which great details have been given on the proofs for all those and many other issues. These have been written for the benefit of Ulamas and students of Islamic sciences.
The respected author has written thousands of books on nearly every subject which provide a tremendous amount of benefits to scholars and non-scholars today.
