Piercing of the nose and eyebrow.
Q. If piercing of the nose is permissible, and the wearing a niqaab is not made a condition, what about the piercing of the eyebrow when it is covered up? I know that only the ears and nose is allowed but what would be wrong with the piercing of the eyebrow?
A. Some scholars have allowed the piercing of the nose and others have not.
With respect to the Niqaab, some scholars have stated that it is essential, and others have stated that exposing the face is permissible.
All scholars have stated that piercing the eyebrow is not permissible. This act brings about mutilation of the face, and it is following the culture of the western trends which have been condemned in the hadith.
