Can a person play games involving the use of dice, e.g. snakes and ladders and monopoly?
Answer:
In general, the jurists of Islam have considered those board games as disliked (Makrooh) which have no benefit in them and it is mearly a wastage of one’s time.
Additionally, it would be even more disliked if such games are from those which people use as a means of gambling like that of playing cards etc.
Educational games such as monopoly, scrabble, etc. will be allowed.
