Can a person collect money from the congregation before the Khutbah of Jumuah?

Question:

Can a person collect money from the congregation before the Bayan / Khutbah of Jumuah?

Answer:

Although many people may use the opportunity to collect money for the Masjid in this manner, it is not the best. They should instead introduce the box system where it is fixed at a certain place and people may put their contribution in it.
