Pearls from the blessed Messenger of Allah

Abu Hawraa As-s’adi ) رحمة الله عليه) said: I said to Hasan Bin Ali رضي الله عنه) )  , What have you remembered from the Prophet )صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)   . He said I remembered from the Prophet      صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ))  : Leave off what you have doubt in for that thing which you have no doubt in, for certainly truthfulness causes tranquillity and lies and falsehood causes doubt. (Tirmidhi)

Hadeeth no. 2518, Pg 214, Publisher Altaaf and son’s)

The Great commentator of Hadeeth, Mawlana Ahmad Ali Saharanbori   ) رحمة الله عليه)  said:

Leave off and turn away from that doubt that one maybe presented with, towards that which in it is no doubt, for certainly the being (existing) of something truthful and right is from those things which cause tranquillity in the heart of a believer, and the being of something false and wrong is what causes uneasiness in the heart, this is only applicable for the pure souls.

In today’s society we see that even Muslims have become numb to the wrongs, that even this sensation of uneasiness of the heart is not felt and experienced. Muslims have become so desensitised by even major sins because of how common it occurs in front of us. This is the result when we show little or no opposition when wrong is being committed.

This is why the scholars of spiritual cleansing, mention that this uneasiness can only be experienced by that one who really, sincerely works upon doing what is right and stay away from sins.

Fortunate indeed is that one who is blessed with such a high rank of spirituality.

May Allah bless us with such a great favour. Ameen.
