Mother being called “Amma”
Q: Assalaamu alaikum
I will like to know if it’s ok for a muslim child to call his/her mother amma or is ummi more appropriate?
I know in the Hindi language amma can refer to one’s mother

Both words can be used to call one’s mother. However Ummi is more appropriate.
