Girls piercing parts of the body
Q. What is the fatwa on muslim girls piercing places such as eyebrows, lips, tongue and navel and what are the punishments if any?
A. All these are totally haram (unlawful) in Islam.
Those who do practice these, are simply following the trend of such people who are irreligious, promiscuous and lack sound morals. The Prophet (SAS)_ is reported to have said, ‘Whoever resembles another group (through his actions), then he will be from among them’.
These sinful practices certainly bring about the punishment of Allah, which is in accordance to his decree.
