Getting married on a Friday

I am trying to find out the significance of a Muslim getting married on a Friday. I know it is good for a Muslim to Nikah on a Friday is it also good to do the walima on the same day?

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
In Islam, there is no special significance of getting married on a Friday. However, seeing that this day is the most blessed day of the week, it is hoped that the Nikah on this day will be a blessed Nikah. It is also good to do the waleema on the same day or any time after.
