THE WEAPON OF A BELIEVER

 Importance of Dua

Hazrat Anas (R.A) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) came across some people who faced anxiety and difficulty. He asked, “Do these people not ask Allah for security?”

Bazaar, Hadith No.6643, Pg.190, Vol.13, Darul Kutub Ilmiya

This is a beautiful tradition of the Prophet (SAW) that tells us that one must learn to call on Allah and supplicate to him.

Asking Allah for security and goodness, remove difficulty and hardship. Hence instead of becoming depressed and overcome with sadness, the believer should raise his hand to Allah and beg for His protection, security and relief from all difficulties. Inshaa Allah, the believers’ supplication will surely be answered.

The hadith explains that when the Prophet (SAW) saw some people were faced with anxiety and difficulty, he surprisingly asked as to why these people were not asking Allah for security. Meant to say that if they had asked Allah for this, then He would have remove their pain, uneasiness and fear. In the same manner, if we ask Allah to remove our troubles and difficulties, He would certainly do so.
