Drawing pictures for educational purposes.
Q. A student has to complete a science project for school with bringing in a picture of a bird as a front cover for her work and he/she does not have access to a printer to print out the picture, so is it permissible for him/her to draw the picture? As Islam forbids drawing pictures with humans or animated pictures, what if it is for educational purposes?
A. Since the drawing would be done for an educational purpose, it would be allowed.
