tsfZikrullah – Remembrance of Allah

Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (SAW) said, There isn’t anyone on the face of the earth  who says,

‘Laa ilaha illallah wallahu Akbar wa laa Hawla wa laa Quwwata illa billah’

(there is no power and no might except with Allah, the Exalted, the Mighty)

excepting Allah will remove his sins even though it would be similar to the froth of the oceans.”

Tirmizi, Hadith No.3460, Pg.485, Vol.2, Altaf and Sons

A wonderful prescription for the removal of sins has been given by the noble Messenger of Allah in the above hadith.

Sins are part of human life, and no matter what the state of a person is, he falls into sins.

It is about this the Prophet (SAW) said, ‘every son of Adam is a sinner, and the best of them is he who repents’.

As such, while being unable to completely avoid minor/major sins, mistakes, errors etc. In one’s life, one can become the best person by repenting to Allah.

The above hadith gives a very easy and sure way of receiving Allah’s forgiveness for the sins committed, and having them removed from one’s book of deeds.

The hadith says whosoever says ‘Laa ilaha illallah wallahu Akbar wa laa Hawla wa laa Quwwata illa billah’ will have his sins removed even though they are as much as the froth in the oceans.

As Muslims we should therefore seize the opportunity of reciting this dhikr frequently.
