Developing a website for a cinema.
Q. I will be developing for Caribbean Cinemas 8, at Trincity, a website where they can allow for people to book their tickets through the website.
I would like to know if it is allowed for me to do this, when I know they would be playing music and showing other unislamic things there.
A. Cinemas and everything associated with it are totally Haram (Unlawful) in Islam. Based on what you intend to do, it is clear that this is a help and support to the cinema activities which will also be Haram. Allah says in the holy Quran, ‘And help each other in goodness and piety and do not help each other in sins and transgression’.
You should therefore refrain from this.
