Changing the times of Salaah in the Masjid.
Q. Is there a “proper” way or a way according to the sunnah for the times of the fard salah to be changed in the Masjid? Can it be changed without any announcement?
A. Those who are entrusted with the job of fixing the times of Salaah (Farz) must inform the Muqtadis of the change in timing. Hence, while changing the time may be in the charge of a few responsible brothers, an announcement should be made to those who attend the mosque. Even though, such information may be placed on the notice board, it is still recommended that an announcement be made.
