Anger an attribute of Allaah
Question: Assalamu alaikum , I know that one of Allah’s eternal attributes is Al Khaliq,He was the Creator before He created creation so what about Allah’s anger, is that one of His eternal attributes also since He knows which of His creation will displease Him? I know Allah’s anger is just and perfect but I don’t know if its eternal like being Al Ghaffar for instance.
Answer: Wa Alaikum salaam,
Anger is also an attribute of Allah, and like all the other attributes it is also eternal.
In the famous book of Aqeedah, Sharh Fiqh Al Akbar by Mulla Ali Qaari (R.A), it is written, “The attributes of Allah and His names, all of them are eternal and there was no beginning for these. They are forever, and there will be no end for these.
